By 2030, 20% of the U.S. population will be 65 or older. They are a population who are more likely to have hearing loss, a sensory impairment that contributes to social isolation, anxiety, depression, and cognitive decline. With increased auditory deprivation and increased cognitive load, the progressive decline of dementia has modifiable risk factors we can address today.
