Cost is the number one reported barrier for people seeking hearing help.

In 2016 the President’s Council of Advisors on Science & Technology (PCAST) looked into how to better serve our aging population by proposing an FDA approved over-the-counter hearing aid.  Although we hope to see an uptake in hearing aid usage, this is not the case in the U.K. where they are available for free.
